Universal Genève is more well known for its sports models, but they were also proud makers of beautiful and interesting dress watches. With clear 1950s style, the case has a clean and straightforward case design with a wide-set bezel that adds to the presence of the watch. There is a bumper movement – the caliber 138SS – fitted inside. This movement design is another period-specific feature often seen in watches the 1950s; bumper movements were gradually phased out in favor of more efficient full self-winding rotor movements.
